ND Pride 2025

Thanet Neurodivergent Pride 2025:
How do you diverge?

Bright yellow poster with bold black text announcing 'Thanet Neurodivergent Pride 2025' presented by Neurodivergent Friends in Thanet. Slogan reads 'How do you diverge?' in large letters. Event details include 'June 2025' and 'ND Pride Day 29/06/2025'. Banner at bottom says 'Proud to be Neurodivergent'.

Neurodivergent Friends CIC (Neurodivergent Friends in Thanet, NDFT) is proud to present its (second) first edition of Thanet Neurodivergent Pride!

This year’s Neurodivergent Pride is an invitation – to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate all the ways we move differently through the world.

Whether you identify as Neurodivergent, are exploring that possibility, or simply believe that people should be supported to be themselves, you are welcome here.

This Pride is for everyone who has ever felt out of place in environments that expect people to fit into one narrow way of being, working, learning, or expressing.

We estimate that as many as 40% of people in Thanet could be Neurodivergent – many of whom don’t know it yet. But this isn’t just about numbers or labels. It’s about community, visibility, and creating spaces that are kinder to all of us. Because when we build spaces that truly include Neurodivergent people, we’re also making things better for many others: those who are burnt out, overwhelmed, isolated, or simply tired of pretending everything’s fine when it’s not.

At NDFT, we understand and view Neurodivergence not as flaws, ‘disorders’,  or problems to fix, but as identities, and valid ways of existing in the world – rich in insights, creativity, and complexity.

So this year’s theme – “How do you diverge?” – asks each of us to consider the ways we step outside the norm, intentionally or otherwise.

How do we adapt? How do we resist? How do we connect?

This Neurodivergent Pride isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being real. It’s about showing up with curiosity, compassion, and care – for ourselves, and each other.

Neurodivergents, non-Neurodivergents, questioning, curious, friends, neighbours, allies – join us. Neurodivergent Pride belongs to all of us.

Together, let’s celebrate and continue to build a community where more people feel seen, supported, and have space to be and thrive.

‘How do YOU diverge?’ – A panel talk on Neurodivergent Identity and creativity
With Eden Plummer, Grace Attlee, and Ted Rogers.

This talk invites Neurodivergent locals to reflect on and celebrate their Neurodivergence, exploring how it enriches their everyday experiences and inspires creative expression.

Together, they’ll challenge reductive narratives and share the joy, complexity, and depth of Neurodivergent life.

Limited Space. Booking Required.

3 pm to 4 pm
How do WE diverge?’ A panel talk on Neurodivergent community
With Ben Constable, Jo Hopley, Immy Bawtree.

This talk invites three Neurodivergent locals to celebrate Neurodivergent communities, centering lived, communal experiences over professional or organisational viewpoints.

Rather than focusing on how services or systems support individuals, we will ask: how do Neurodivergent people live, relate, and build community with one another?

Limited Space. Booking Required.
